Is fat burning truly as complicated as some profess? Well, it is most definitely not an easy proposition because there are many people unable to lose their excess pounds.
It is an unfortunate reality that there are many diets out there that are loaded with partial truths and less than accurate information. A common flawed diet plan is that of the low carb diet. As many are aware, this is a diet that centers on starving the body of carbohydrates as a means of stimulating weight loss. Does such a diet work? With the depletion of carbs, the body will look towards burning fat and protein for energy.
That is a decent diet plan but it is not the “super diet” that some profess. Why is this so? Protein is another word for the body’s lean muscle mass. That means when you diet you will be burning off your muscles! Who would want that result? Also, it is necessary to point out the fact that weight loss can often be water since carbs promote water retention. When the body has been depleted of carbohydrates, roughly 7lbs of water will be shed. (It may even be possible that 10lbs of water may be eliminated) Of course, the less water one possesses the somewhat slimmer a person’s look will be but the fat on the frame will still remain.
Carbs have a very distinct effect on the body: they promote water retention. When you deplete yourself of carbs, you will quickly shed 7lbs of water or more. This can make you look leaner but you have not lost fat. And, of course, the water will return sooner or later as you increase your fluid and carb intake over time.
In short, a low carbohydrate is a weak diet plan that many people venture into due to false information that has been presented. Therein existed many problems associated with inaccurate info. Granted, the low can deliver some results and it is nowhere near as bad as some of the other crazy diets out there. Many magazine covers in the grocery stores profess the fact that you can lose weight eating desserts and other such items. This is just not true. Again, false info leads many people to believing they can burn fat when all they are doing is taking part in a fad diet plan. So, is there any alternative to such diet clutter and confusion? Yes, those interested in fat burning need to get to the very basic component of how to lose weight: you need to speed up your metabolism.
Rather than waste time with such diets, why not just stick with the basics? On all basic levels, it is best to just do what is needed to boost your metabolism. Is this a tough goal? No, it is not really all that tough; you just need to do what is done to make sure the metabolism is revved up.
Thankfully, there are other strategies in which a person is able to boost metabolic function and it comes by simply altering dietary selections and the amount/frequency of food that is eaten. Some may assume this is a little too good to be true but it is assuredly not. Anyone that is looking to expand the ability to burn fat needs to understand how the body reacts when it is fed. Several small meals per day can greatly keep a metabolism revved up and burning fat. While this alone will not get a body lean and ripped, it can certainly help in that regard.
