Overall, I found PHP and MySQL to make much more sense than ASP classic and MSSQL.
Another one of my favorite things about Linux is the availability of additional modules and programs for it. One of my favorite add-ons is Webmin which is an administration tool for configuring the entire machine. The tool lets you easily do all of this through a user-friendly web-based interface which can be accessed from anywhere on the same network. With our Microsoft servers, there are only two user licenses available to log into a remote desktop session. So that means only two people can log in and adjust settings at once. With Webmin, any number of users can simultaneously log in and make adjustments to the server. I have found this to be useful when we have multiple people working on web pages that are all hosted on that server.

I have found that we can easily build these sites if a very short time frame by using a product called Joomla to manage all of the site content.
